Now I want to chat about Kombucha. That is obviously completely unrelated to those Banana Oatmeal Cookies, but I know you won't obey.

Let me start by saying that my husband drinks apple cider vinegar mixed with water every morning to decrease inflammation or anything like that.

He claims it is magical. I claim it is nasty.

While I know this is going to seem dramatic (because it is)I actually dry heave at the sight and smell of the early ritual on a daily basis. He loves that around me personally.

Depending on this reaction, an individual would believe I would stay far away from Kombucha, right? I mean, after all, it definitely has a vinegary tang.

But for whatever reason, I keep trying it. I Would like to enjoy it SO DANG BAD.

These Banana Oatmeal Cookies are very easy to make and filled with banana flavor.

I am really a marketer's dream cause every single time I see somebody I know liking a sip, or simply denying their favorite brand and flavor using a boomerang on Instagram, I'm all,"Perhaps that one will really taste decent!" .

Just imagine me using air quotes around the term enjoying cause I think it is hard to believe this stuff is really enjoyable in any sense of the term.

And spoiler alert. Not one of them taste great. None.

Even the ones which people claim are mild really are a significant no-go for me. They taste just like freaking bubbly vinegar.

I'm basically sure that anyone who drinks this brewed tea material has zero taste buds, or badly awesome ones.

I've literally tried each and every brand that my local marketplace carries and that I HATED, maybe not overdone, HATED every single one.

Yes, I know hate is a very strong word, but there's actually no other way to describe my feelings towards kombucha. And I only had to inform y’all my true feelings about this one. Who is with me?

From no bake biscuits and easy sugar cookies to those banana oatmeal cookies, it's turned into a love affair that has gone on here at MBA for nearly a decade now.

While I am not promising these banana oatmeal cookies will be the least bit healthy (cause click here for more hello sugar and butter), I am claiming they are delicious.

They have the perfect quantity of banana taste and a lovely chewy texture thanks to its oats. The chocolate chips are only an additional bonus.

I enjoy these cookies a little about the side, therefore that I bake them for 9 or 10 seconds. If you prefer these to be cooked through, I would take for 10-11 minutes.

I'll say that the oats almost makes them seem as a breakfast cookie, therefore they are all types of amazing having a cup of tea or coffee first thing in the morning.

I'd add some chopped peppers to a batch rather than chocolate chips, however, everyone definitely preferred the chocolate chips over the nuts.

BANANA OATMEAL COOKIES

YIELD: about 30 biscuits PREP TIME: 10 minnutes COOK TIME: 10 minutes

PRINT RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 cup unsalted butterat room temperature



1 large egg

3/4 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2 medium)

1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

2 tsp ground cinnamon



1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 350°F.

From the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, or in a big bowl with an electric mixer, beat the sugar and butter till light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.

Scrape down the sides of the bowl and then mix in the egg until completely incorporated. Scrape the sides of the bowl again and add the mashed bananas and vanilla.



Gradually add the bread mixture to the banana mixture and mix until just blended.

Scrape the sides of the bowl and then stir to recombine.

Stir in the oats and chocolate chips and blend until incorporated.

Use a medium cookie scoop (about 1.5 tbsp ) to scoop the dough on prepared cookie sheets leaving about 2 inches between each cookie.

Bake in preheated oven for about 9-11 minutes.

Remove cookies from the oven and then gently press on the shirts of each cookie using the bottom of a drinking glass. Because these cookies do not spread considerably, this can give them a conventional cookie shape.

Enable the banana oatmeal cookies to cool on the cookie sheets for 5 minutes before removing them to a wire rack to cool thoroughly.
